My name is Marriann McCormack I just wanted to let anyone whose looking for a Rottweiler, be it for sport, show or a family pet, you have come to the right place. When I met Darlene and Andy I really didn't know much about the Rottweiler. I knew I liked them, but that was it. After spending time with them and the dogs in their breeding program I developed a true love and respect for the breed (and Darlene and Andy) I had the privilege of helping Darlene raise a litter, she allowed me into the whelping box to prepare me for my own dogs upcoming pups. I learned so much from Darlene about whelping and raising pups. The only problem is now I have to hold myself to this HIGH standard of puppy raising. I have never seen breeders like them. Let me express that I have been to many, many kennels, both Rottweilers and German Shepherds alike and though I can honestly say NONE have been bad, no one compares to Darlene in the care of their dogs and pups. They are so healthy, happy and well feed - its amazing. The love Darlene gives a pup in her care is awesome to watch. She has such a true gift with puppies and dogs alike. This shows when after 6 months of a pup going to its new home, it comes back to visit or train and it goes insane just at the sound of her voice...I've seen this time after time. If your looking for a Rottweiler or training for a pet you already own, I can honestly tell you Darlene and Andy Devlin are tops.

I have been a HVRSK member for 18 months and have benefited immensely having Darlene Devlin there as a trainer for my rotti. Enzo. I was able to start working with her when Enzo was 9 weeks old on his basic commands and he titled a CGC an AD and a BH with her assistance. Going to klub was a 4.5 hour round trip for us as we live in Northeast Connecticut. It was well worth the ride though as her training methods are quite sound. I must say that I could have been a Connecticut club member and enjoyed a ten minute ride for training under a trainer who encouraged the kicking of errant dogs on the field. Darlene instills in us that we need to be firm but fair in our training and this encourages you and your dog to work as a team. The other thing that makes Darlene a great trainer and handler is that she does not employ one single style of training. She understands the psyche of each dog she works with and how to get you and your dog to reach the goals you have set. Darlene makes it a point to bring other trainers in as well to conduct seminars for our club and encourages us to continue working with these people to further enrich our training experience. Darlene's dedication to our sport, our breed and to all of us as individuals could not be matched by anyone. Whether she is drop dead sick or 7 months pregnant with triplets and on ordered bed rest she cannot be kept off the field by anyone...and I advise that no one try. - Lori Lawler

 

We met Darlene and Andy in October of 2006 and purchased a female puppy (Mystic) from the Liberty/Proximo breeding. She has lived up to our expectations and more.She has a ton of drive. If you throw a Frisbee as she will track it down and catch it in the middle of the air. Pull out of her tugs from the toy box she'll go directly into her down and wait for you tell her to "GET IT". She then will fly up, grab it, and tug with all she has. She also is highly intelligent. When she plays tug with a child she plays gently with children and loves their attention after the game is over. I'll stop bragging about Mystic now. The best part about purchasing out pup from Darlene and Andy is their support. From the calls I made to them the first week asking, "How do I get her to stop crying in her crate" to "How do I build drive" they have been their every step of the way. They stand by their puppies and owners. I am not a member of their club currently but that does not affect the support they are willing to give. To this day I still call them with questions on how to handle situations. Any behavior issues, (99% of the time caused by the owner) or questions on how to teach/train they support will be their 100% for you. You can't put a price on that kind of dedication to the breed.

I've owned several different rottweilers from different breeders and I have to say that Warden is the best bred dog I've had by far. Andy and Darlene spent a lot of time with me before the breeding to make sure I got what I was looking for. They take the time to make sure you get a real working dog but with great temperment. I would highly recommend Germanenstolz Rottweilers to any one looking for a great dog and great breeders that have unsurpassed knowledge of the breed. We met Andy and Darlene many years ago, at the NE Regional Sieger Show, in Buffalo. My husband, Jean-Luc fell in love with their male, Proximo. He went right up to them and said he wanted a dog from him. We have since bred to Proximo three times, with our Canadian Champion female and have had outstanding litters from him. Proximo is very famous in Canada and we have since purchased a female puppy out of X-treme (a Proximo daughter) as well. She is an outstanding representation of the breed, has a lot of drive and has exceptional conformation. We also own a male from Germanenstolz Rottweilers, out of Engy Vom Essbach and Akino Von Der Lauterbrucke. His conformation is outstanding and he has one of the most stable temperaments you could ask for, for a male Rottweiler. He is extremely large, but is a gentle giant, non-the-less. We are the proud owners of two Germanenstolz dogs and are waiting for our next one out of Ultra. We could not be more satisified. We are also so happy with all the advise that Andy and Darlene give us, from breeding our female Orka to Proximo, whelping litters, training our other dogs and any other assistance we could possibly ask for. We had our 1st Rotti for 10 years - when the inevitable happened... I had called many breeders and NONE of them took the time talking with me, nor did some of them really care where their pups went ... I think Darlene and I talked for hours, she cried with me over the loss of our Marly - and it was then that I knew I had the perfect match! Darlene wanted to know about ME and MY FAMILY and the home that their puppy would go to. She invited me to her home, to meet all her dogs. The environment was clean, the dogs were well trained and very social animals. Our whole family knew we had met the right breeder. Zaane is now just over two - and I can tell you that he is an awesome representation of the breed and of the breeders! He has a wonderful temperament to all that meet him! He is a great dog! 2 years ago I got a puppy from Darlene and Andy 'Germanenstolz," The two of them were wonderful and full of information and very knowledgeable. When I decided to get a rottweiler puppy, I got right on the phone right away. Just to hear such a friendly voice telling me my family and I could come up anytime to see the new pups, we all could hardly wait to go. When we did go to met that friendly voice and met those puppy's, it was a friendship right away!!! Darlene and Andy were so welcoming we knew right there we wanted a puppy from them. Their knowledge of rotties and care that went into the breed of puppy's was incredible. When we took our new baby home it was the beginning of a new friendship and new family that we made was inspirational. Darlene and Andy have always said when you get a puppy from them you will always be family. That's how it is and I know we could always rely on them for anything, and anytime. My little girl has brought such sunshine into our lives words can not say enough for these two people and there care of the breed!!! My dog is a therapy dog who bring sunshine and love to all who comes into contact with her!!! When she took the test the trainer told me she was a very well rounded dog who should be doing this kind of work!!!! She fell in love right away with her. Her name is Dolce and that stands for sweet in Italian, and its perfect for this dog!!!

I am the proud owner of Tasha Vom Deutschen Blut CGC,CD, RN, RA, an offspring of Proximo Germanenstolz. We brought Tasha home at 9 weeks of age and had some growing up issues. I received much needed support from Darlene in raising an active puppy! I have been told that Tasha is a lot like her father. Darlene has been a big help in how much I have accomplished with Tasha. Although, I have not had the privledge of owning one of Darlene's masterful dogs, I have had the opportunity to train on numerous occasions with Proximo. Aside from being a rather large and intimating looking dog, he was so well behaved that running him was fun and pretty cool. I've whitnessed both Andy and Darlene handle training classes, from bite work to tracking to obedience and was very impressed with the command and presence they have in working with their dogs as well as instructing others on how to train. I have seen first hand their love and passion for these dogs and with all the sacrifices they've made to make their kennel very successful. I have had the pleasure of owning THREE Proximo offspring over the past six years. All are happy, healthy and stunning animals. Anywhere I go, people ask my husband and I where we bought our Rottweilers from and are amazed on how beautiful and well behaved they are. We have never had one problem with them and have always went back to Darlene and Andy for guidance, when we were 'breaking in' a new member of the family.
